The first quarter of 2022 showcased interesting trends for the top 5 food delivery apps on the Android platform in Australia. According to Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the performance of DoorDash - Food Delivery, Uber Eats: Food Delivery, BWS, Menulog AU | Food Delivery, and SEND - 10 min grocery delivery.

DoorDash - Food Delivery saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads. Starting from 13.3K in late December 2021, the app reached a peak of 17.1K by the end of March 2022. Active users fluctuated, beginning at 285K and peaking at 313K in the first week of January, before settling around 266K by the end of the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a steady climb in downloads, starting at 10.4K and ending at 13.1K. Active users showed a slight decline from 443K in late December to 407K by the end of March, despite minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

BWS experienced significant spikes in downloads early in the quarter, with a high of 19.2K in mid-January, but saw a decline towards the end, reaching around 2.1K. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 36.3K in mid-January before dropping to approximately 21.1K by the end of March.

Menulog AU | Food Delivery observed a gradual increase in both downloads and active users. Downloads rose from 8.9K in late December to 9.5K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 102K and hovering around 97K by the end of the quarter.

SEND - 10 min grocery delivery had a notable spike in downloads in early January, reaching 19K but saw a sharp decline, ending the quarter with just over 300 downloads per week. Active user data for this app was not provided.
